Awful Monkey

This is turning out to be a bit more of an undertaking than I had first estimated. Simply because this is my first time actually having to manage a web site other than just dumping files into a directory on someone else's server. But, I'm learning as I go, but hopefully I don't mess this up too severely.

I have the image placeholder in front until I can decide how to best administer this site. I'm debating whether or not to implement the program MovableType to write the updates, because as of now I am manually editing these in Dreamweaver. Which isn't necessarily difficult because all I'm doing is inputting journal entries at the moment, but soon it will require archiving and search functions. *Sigh*. More stuff to learn.

In the mean time, I have uploaded one of my latest completed projects(well, the initial design, content will be provided by someone else and stored on a different web server). It is viewable here.

I wrote yesterday's update at 0100AST while on pain medications due to a recent surgery. So, if it's incoherent delusions of grandeuer...that's why, and I apologize. I just wanted to debut this site with all the pomp and circumstance that I feel it deserves because I am really looking foward to begin working on this.

When in reality, it is just going to be a storage place for myself and somewhat of a public journal. This site will also be home to my photo album which I will update as frequently as possible. This will give you an idea of the things I've seen, and what I am doing while abroad(typically it will consist of photos of me inebriated to point of being passed out and people doing awful things to me).

Aside from my inane sporadic ramblings, this site will present my portfolio of web sites I have designed. Web design is merely a hobby, and I am by no means an expert(this site itself testifies to that fact). But, some people have asked to see what I have created professionally in the past. The site itself will be a learning aide as it teaches me new web design techniques and helps me hone my craft. I hope to learn PHP/SQL/Java soon. Especially to make these updates more automated/easy.

I know only a certain few people may frequent this site, but I thank each and every one for their patronage.
